There are so many circumstances that could’ve led you to this page but in all honesty, I can only think of three reasons as to why you’re reading this article today:
- You came across the title accidently and you just thought to yourself “What?” So you got curious and checked it out.
- You’re researching about weird or peculiar male fetishes for an academic paper.
- This is you.
Whatever your reasons are, they’re all none of my business. I like to tackle things that are far from the ordinary and I believe that you are somewhat like me in that regard. Maybe you like things that are “out of the ordinary” and that’s perfectly fine. We all have secrets that we’re too shy to talk about anyway. And it just so happens that yours is more difficult to talk about than others.
So what if you’re into crossdressing?
What Is Crossdressing?
Many articles of clothing are classified into categories – the male and female category being a prominent one. While some pieces of clothing like T-shirts and jeans may be considered “unisex” or worn by both sexes, others are far too flamboyant or obviously meant for either one of the orientations. Many articles of clothing are classified into either male or female.
On the up side, male clothing tend to be more gender neutral. This is because they wear simple cuts and designs in the first place. Their wardrobe would often consist of long-sleeved and short-sleeved polos, shirts, shorts and pants. T-shirts are also a pretty obvious and normal choice. Needless to say, all these articles of clothing may be comfortably worn by any member of the female race as long as it is their size. And with the fashion of oversized clothing steadily rising, I don’t think that size is even a concern anymore. Long story short, men’s apparel tend to be more gender neutral and it seems like society has no problem whatsoever seeing females dress in men’s clothes.
The problem sets in on the other side of the pie.
The neutrality of men’s apparel (unfortunately) doesn’t apply to women’s clothing. You can read more about it in this article. As for women’s apparel, the designs, cuts, and styles of fem fashion is not exactly what you’d term “neutral.” In fact, it’s pretty blatant that women’s clothing is made for women only. Common pieces include skirts, dresses, blouses, “short” shorts, jeans (often very fitted), leggings, tank tops, etc. The designs on these articles of clothing also tend to be very feminine with blindingly bright colors, cute and flattering patterns, and/or sexy and body contouring designs.
Now, normally, no person of the male gender would willingly want to put on women’s apparel. In fact, many men would detest having to experience such a thing. But then again, it’s not like we started this article today with the intention to talk about what’s normal. We’re here today to address the minority’s peculiar fetish of wanting to dress in the clothes of the opposite gender.
That’s right. Crossdressing is exactly how it sounds. It means that a certain individual desire to dress or put on clothes that are not normally designed for his or her sexual orientation. You can see how this whole thing went down in history through this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaK3IxZJbto.
Can You Be Male And Still Be Into Crossdressing?
As mentioned, a while ago, women and “crossdressing” isn’t exactly what you’d call a taboo. Men’s clothes tend to be gender neutral that there is almost nothing wrong with a woman wearing them. Women’s clothing, on the other hand, feels questionable when worn by a person of the opposite gender.
When a man wears female articles of clothing, the initial assumption is that he is a homosexual or “gay” in colloquial language. But this isn’t always the case. Remember when I mentioned how some people foster unusual or peculiar fetishes? Well, this one is it. There are men who get “kicks” from crossdressing. It makes them feel aroused or sexually stimulated. If you’re into this kind of play, maybe this dating site is perfect for you.
So, to answer the question: Is it normal to be male and still be into crossdressing? The answer is YES. You can be male by orientation and still want to dress up in female clothing. It’s a little weird and disturbing to some but you know what they say “to each his own” so I guess it’s all really a matter of respecting every person’s likes and dislikes.
